Through a network of strategically placed pop-up cleaning and circulation nozzles built into the pool floor, dirt, sand, leaves and debris are pushed toward the purpose built self cleaning pool system’s main drain. The self cleaning pool system uses two different types of cleaning and circulating nozzles. The primary nozzles are activated by the main controller, once activated, they pop-up, jetting out a powerful stream of pressurized pool water across the pool floor. After 45-90 seconds, the nozzles retract flush with the pool floor and rotate to a different cleaning position for the next operation period.
The secondary nozzles are called "directional" nozzles. They remain in a fixed position when they pop-up, influencing dirt and debris toward the active main drain. Since the self cleaning pool system is always at work, circulating both pool water and chemicals, the pool actually becomes healthier and more efficient.
